Product Sync Migration

Migrating to the new automatic product processor.

❗️

We recommend completing your transition before December 15, 2024. After this date, users who have not transitioned will be automatically migrated to the new system.

What is Product Sync?

The Product Sync feature automatically manages the application of the TryNow selling plan and product tags to your store's products.

The TryNowAutomated tag is the Shopify Product tag that our system will add to your product when calculating visibility based on your configured Button Visibility Rules.

What are the effects of this?

The visibility of your TryNow program is directly impacted. Rules are configured in Controls > Button Visibility Rules.

You can learn more about configuring your visibility rules here.

Product Sync will automatically apply these rules to your products on scheduled 12 hour intervals. If you should need to run it more frequently, you can sync products manually in Merchant Portal.

Implementation

Follow the next steps to migrate to using product sync. This will vary based on whether or not you already have a TryNow Collection Page.

If you don't have a TryNow Collection Page

  1. In the Merchant Portal, navigate to Controls > Button Visibility Rules.
  2. Click the Transition to Product Sync button.

📘

Note

If you see a button labeled Sync Products product sync is already activated.

  1. Confirm your selection in the modal that appears.

If you do have a TryNow Collection Page

  1. Follow the above steps to initiate the Product Sync process.
  2. Update the criteria for your automated TryNow collection pages in Shopify:
    1. If you are currently using the TryNow product tag, change it to the TryNowAutomated product tag. This change will ensure your collection page remains up-to-date with the new system.

Your Shopify collection page conditions may look like this before you transition to Product sync:

As a final result, your conditions should appear as so:

Note

Manual collection pages do not require any additional steps and can transition at any time.
