What is the pricing structure for TryNow?

TryNow charges 2.99% on the Net Order Value + $0.99 Per Order with a $1,040 Monthly Platform Spend.

TryNow Fees

2.99% of net order value — assessed only when payment is captured on the authorization after the trial ends
$0.99 per order — assessed at the time of order creation
$1,040 Minimum Monthly Platform Spend

Important distinctions:

The % fee applies only to net kept value (after returns).
Other payment providers (e.g. BNPL) charge on the gross order value before returns, but TryNow aligns incentives by charging only on what the shopper actually keeps.

Billing cadence:

Shopify Fees (separate from TryNow fees)

In addition to TryNow fees, Shopify charges its own payment processing and authorization fees:

Standard Shopify payment processing fees — these are your store’s normal credit card processing rates (vary by plan).
Extended authorization fee — if a payment is captured after Shopify’s standard 7-day authorization period, Shopify applies an additional 1.75% fee on top of your normal credit card fees.

Monthly Minimum

Merchants have a $1,040 Minimum Monthly Platform Spend with TryNow
Therefore merchants will be charged the greater of this $1,040 MMPS or the transactional 2.99% on the Net Order Value + $0.99 Per Order
As TryNow will allocate significant time and resources to each merchant's TBYB Program, the MMPS is to ensure brands have at least baseline intent on making TBYB a part of their strategy each month.

Example

Order value: $100
Shopper returns $40 → Net kept value = $60
TryNow fees: 2.99% of $60 ($1.79) + $0.99 order fee = $2.78
Shopify fees: Your credit card processing fees + 1.75% extended authorization fee (if captured after 7 days).

Summary

TryNow only charges on net kept value (aligned with merchant outcomes).
Shopify separately charges standard processing + extended auth fees when capture is beyond 7 days.
Combined, this ensures full transparency in costs.
